After 9-11-2001 torrist attack on New York and Wishton D.C more people then ever before wonder about the feature of huminity. The T.V images showinhg the twin tower collapsing in flames as well as those showin the desperation of the surviour-have broadcast countless time.Tese images have brought anguish to people arround the world. Along with that anguish has coime a sense that the world has some hopw under gone historical change. Has it?
War broke out in the walke of septmber 11, 2001. Soon nations that has previousll been hostile toward one anther became allies in joint effortss to repress torrism . All told the toll of death and destruction has been highg. but perhaps a more segnificant for mahny peolple worldwide has been the loss of a sense of security, the increasing fellings of that no one anywhere was is safe.
World leader finding themselves facing enormous problems . Jounalist and commentors wonjder how terrosm can be prevented from spreacing like wild fire, since it appear to be fueled with ;poverty and fanatism-ill that no one seem to know the cure.
Injustic is wild spread in the world that every ingredent ios present for a high explossive state of affiars. People of all kinds wonder whether society's ill will ever be eleminated. Will war be with all the misery, death and ruini bring-ever end?Million of people orgganised religion with these questions other thoutht , are more sceptical. WHAT ABOUT YOU?
Do you thionk the question is left to only religious leaders for an answer. ajnd is their prayer the only substance to bring acture peaceto the world? To achieve : violence never again, torrosm never again !!! The quality of smbiosis, the value of true love and the collective effort to work for restoration of peace should be paramout ro all.Until these thifngs be a working tools we remain commited as a group and one great family to co-exist. Then peace will be tangable and the message for a better world will be an evedence to all.

looks like we might be on the verge of world war 3, so i am wondering how close are we really to finding peace if all we do is move away from it and our leaders seem to think that there actions or lack of it will help in the long run. according to peter tosh, there wont be peace until we have equal rights and justice for all.

there is also a question of "what is justice"
there are severe disagreements over what "justice".
Many people claim they want peace - but only on certain terms.
there are small groups of extremists now who can do terrible damage to peace - their idea of "justice" - ie the terms under which they accept peace - it are impossible satosfy.
how can Al Qaeda, for example, be compromised with?

There will always be hope in the hearts of persons for peace. The question is can there truly be peace on earth? My Idea of peace may be totally different from that of say Sewotoy's and there fore peace for me is not necessarily peace for him. Whe have to first find a universal definition of peace, then we can start thinking of how to achieve that in a manner that will please most if not all human beings.
we must also remember that there are persons who really don't want peace on earth and no matter how small that group, they can create serious problems for the rest of the world.

shennel says:

The peace we need is the one that produces joy. Such peace comes from inner justice and such inner justice comes from the gift of God in each one's heart and spirit. From such justice comes inner peace and from this inner peace comes joy.
When each individual of a locality receives such personal experience within the organic experience of spiritual unity, then we can think of peace on earth.

As long as there are double standards, no practising of what others preach for, turning a blind eye to what some countries do while if another country does the same its threated, invaded & wiped out there will be no peace.

Well said!
Some countries have hijacked the security council and used millitary force with no limits to accomplish their political goals and long-term "projects" with no regard to morality or human rights.
I am afarid we are all returning to the law of the jungle

Hi friends I hope we are on the same road, heading for peace in this trouble world. I am happy to recieve responds from caring people like you.
It will be good to find a group for our goal and concern, in making this world a trouble free place. If we as youth work together, we will achieve.

IS TRIBALISM/ETHNICITY OR ETHNIC GROUP AN INPEDEMENT TO PEACE AND STABILITY?
July 29, 2008 - 03:44 PM
|
|
The word TRIBE/TRIBALISM is used to describe certian social groups. The term may not be accepted by many, reasons been it lacks the precise meanig and has been applied to many widelydifferent groups.
In addition many of the peoples called tribe, consider the terms offensive or inaccurate. Most of them prefers the such terms as "ETHNIC GROUP OF PEOPLE".
The first used of the word "TRIBE" in English referred to the Hebrews. Until about 1000 BC The Hebrews were loosely organzed into 12 groups each of which traced it's descent to one of the 12 sons of Jacob. These groups were soon ther 12 tribes of Israel. The terms were soon called to mean any groups of families who traced themselves to a common acestor.

I agree with every word you have just said.
I know of certain worst leaders i this world who are never criticized because they are allies of the "police of the world. And anyone who chooses to defy them is deemed a terrorist!
Such double standards will not lead us any way!
Peace will prevail it should be our priority!
