Is suffering in the world justified?

I get a bit disturbed when others live in total sufferings and pains and yet others inflict the sufferings and walk away with it. Can any body help; why do we suffer? Is it God punishing us for going against Him or it is a man made selfish interest? Lets be liberal and look and the scenarios between Americans and Arabs (Iraq, Afreganstan), Israelites and Palestanians, Arabs Sudaneese and South-black Sudaneese, the list is endless........., the pain inflictor walks away with it untouched; Is there any thing we can do about it or the law of the jungle prevail? The strongest survive! Words and ressolutions have condemned these acts but fallen on deaf hears and yet no remedies are enforcable against the culprits. Are we emphatic really? Words dont move mountains, what can you and I do to avert these sufferings or they are there to be there so that we forget?

We are selfish creatures I guess.
I dont believe god is punishing us...why would he?
Everything that is now is a result of our actions in the past.

We are greedy, egoistic, egocentric, irrational, self-content and nto as intelligent as we think we are..
We tend to do what profits us more in the detriment of others...
And thats what happens in Sudan, Palestine, East Timor, Sierra Leone, etc etc etc.
One cant totally eliminate it but one can fight and one must fight to achieve the best, or closest to the ideal world, out of it!
Replace "we" by "politicians" and "one" by "youth" and you will get the right context slightly exaggerated but still holding all the truth!

Patriciak and Mnopq, I appraciate your observations, when things get to the extreme everyone cries out to God, if God never intends that some of us live the kind of life we live now, wouldn't He have stopped them. I remember when God set Job to test, Job lost virtually everything that He had with Him but maintained the faithfulness, God gave the Assyrians victory over the Israelites and took them captives, God Gave the Palestenians victory over the Israelites but because all the loosing sides stuck to Him and maintained their loyalty to Him/repented of their sins, He later made them Victorious again. Could it be that God is Giving victory to our enemies to Punish us for going against Him. Let me go extreme and ask you this, Are there a First class Generation to God and a Second Class Generation? So that I takeit that America, Israel, Britain,........ are. No matter how much Israel, America raise arms against its enemies, the world remains quite about it and they walk away with all the blood in their hands. Hard line criminals are never victims of the innocent/law? Surely if God never wanted the world to be in such difference, He wouldn't see it Go on, Jesus once said "God ways are not mans ways, but if its His will, let His will be done" God should allow the world to live in peace and harmony but ultimate to us, can we check our selves, are we not guilty inside our selves? Lets repent inwardly and see if the sword doesnt slice the tinsmith. If we believe in God/Allah, can we leave it to Him so that those being killed continue being killed and those killing continue killing or take it upon our selves and see where God gives victory? I am sudden by what goes on and feel morally responsible. I see it as if it were on me... I wouldn't surely bare it, why should some one be in it? If we need the oil and market shares, can't we compete favourably and see who wins?

What is it that you and I do to avert these unjustiied sufferings and make the world a better place to live in. Can we peace fully resolove the crisis or arms are the only options where the strongest survive? I love a bloodless world, I have come to the world to find the blood, I am living with the blood, must I leave the world as bloody as it is? God why have you foresaken your people? Look upon the oppressed and have mercy! You Said, no weapon built against your people shall never prosper, aren't the oppressed your people? Your ways are not mans ways, we see not what You see, if it were possible, please let this cup of suffering pass/take it away from us? Look upon us and have mercy. PBUY!

suffering in the world is not justified..and never will be...unless we somehow happen to maintain world peace! we all live in comfortable homes and environments and im sure at some point in our life, we may have asked for more than what we have...it might seem like a selfish gesture, but really its human nature...
im sure we all wish we could help those in need and anguish...but sometimes theres only so much we can do.. i think the best way we can help is to pray and in any way, give a lending hand to someone; whether ur helping some1 near u...or some1 miles away from u...whether ur helping them by giving them money or just praying for them...at the end, its making a difference that counts

The world is made up of people, is it the world which is crazy or the people in the world who are crazy? Since it is the human nature which is selfish, must it go on or we can change? Lets be practical than see theories as desired, time to wish is over, its time to act. What can you and I do to kill this selfish nature of man?
