Job Opportunity: Full-Time Graphic Designer / COSTA RICA
The Guanacaste Journal seeks to hire a full-time Graphic Designers. We are looking for three young, creative and energetic individuals.
The Guanacaste Journal is the fastest growing and highly respected newspaper on the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica.
Over the past eight months, we have been able to grow, diversify news content, improve graphic design quality and continually expand our distribution network. The Guanacaste Journal has undergone a major transformation process and succeeded in establishing itself as a respected English-language weekly recognized for its balanced coverage of local, national and international news, for its friendly layout and perhaps most importantly for delivering results to its clients.
The ideal candidate will hold a BA degree in Computer Science, will be proficient in both English and Spanish and possess expert knowledge of the following applications:
- In Design
- Adobe Illustrator
- Adobe Photoshop
- Corel Draw
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with the newsroom to coordinate the reception of news materials
- Work closely with the sales department to coordinate the reception of advertising materials
- Prepare files for submission to printer
Previous work experience in printed press a strong plus. We intend to fill this position AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
