Italy is the best!!!!!! They not only started to play attacking (but not their traditional defensive) football, but also showed the Germans that there are other teams capable of winning in Dortmund! Tut-tut, really it was the first defeat of the Germans there. Well, one day they had to face it: sooner or later! Better NOW!
It's very interesting whether Lehmannnnnn had cribs about Italian footballers' styles of penalty?! Hmm... Nonetheless, it was not necessary.
And one more pleasant moment: the referee was acting nearly faultless! A great example of what a referee should do: not to play his own pro-German game, but to let the match going. AMAZING Mexicano!
119 and 121!!!
Hope Italy will become a Champion of the World for the forth time!!!

I completely agree with you!!! I have been supporting italy as well. I think they are a great time and im really hoping that they win. They played amazingly well against germany. Esp the master tactitian del piero

I believe Italy was not the best team in this tournament. It's not a general rule that the best wins.
In 1954 Hungary was the best team, but West Germany won the world cup.
The Netherlands were the best in 1974 and 1978, but they did not win.
Brazil was the best team in 1982, but it was Italy that won the world cup.
In 2006, Italy had the easiest way to the final comapred to all teams that reached the semi-fianls.
Italy beated Australia 1-0 with an unjust last-minute penalty. Moroever,in the following game they encountered the weakest team that reached the quarter-fianls: Ukraine. Italy's way to the final was not hard at all like France playing with Spain, Brazil and Portugal.
Imagine games like Portugal-Italy, or Netherlands-Italy, or Argentina-Italy, or Mexico-Italy, or even Brazil-Italy....all these teams were better.

Games have no best.
Italy that all are praising now won France by chance which cal also make them lose that particular game.
In game, the winner is always the BEST because result differential the best.

Ok, let's change the subject into "Italy is the best team". Who will argue that it's real team that deserved the win and the Cup. No matter whether it's attacking or defending it's a team playing for common result. And even if they prove that Marco Materazzi provoked Zidane it'll mean only that he played a dirty game, but for the sake of his team. And France isn't a team, it's a collection of individuals! There was even a popular joke that French coach uses the scheme of 4-1-1-1-1-1-1. Stars and semi-starts, you know. NB: there's no hindrance to be a start in team!
As for the teams Italy had to meet with on the championship - it's just a matter of Luck! I can imagine the match Italy-Portugal or Italy-Argentina easily. And it's not clear who would win, frankly speaking. Once France defeated Italy in European championship, and it was also defeated by Brazil, but don't forget that it's the forth title for Italy here. It can play football then! :P
And let's remember that the ball had a name of TEAMGEIST - the Team Spirit.
Now, why Italy isn't the best!?

italy is amazing FRENCH suck... although Zindine Zidane is pretty good ... he was out of the game cause he headbutted one guy on t he Italian team... haha tut tut

Zizu is "ok?" Are you kidding me. It always bothers me when people make outlandish comments because they simply do not like the team or player. Zidane is one of the greatest players of this generation and played "The Beautiful Game" with enormous skill. You may not like him, but please take off the blinders and give him his due.
