I'm a football fan living in England, but i am not really enjoying this world cup. In England, football has become a money making tool, and everywhere i see, on Television, in Supermarkets and on every high street across the country the advertising corporations have jumped on the bandwaggon and using football to promote every product under the sun. From Mars chocolate and their clever 'Believe' campaign to Mcdonalds, Mobile phones and Cars. I see fifteen year old girls who have never been to a football match in their life wearing England shirts and shouting "Come on England!" Simply because they see their mates buying into the product and think that they have to follow. This makes me sad. I am a true football fan and have been since the age of ten, and i think it is a shame that the beutiful game has had it's heart ripped out by the corporations. None of this rubbish went on when England won the world cup 40 years ago. Has the same thing happened in your country?
