MDGs & HUMAN RIGHT
June 21, 2006 - 08:41 AM

There is no doubt whether MDGs are linked to Human Rights. The Millennium Development Goals covers all facets of Human Rights. Human Rights imply your right to survival and the MDGs promotes and ensures safety nets for sustainable living. Human development is all about enlarging people’s choices so that people can live better lives. Since our happiness depends on the enjoyment, the protection and the promotion of our fundamental rights, a development plan that takes into account the people in a holistic approach also takes into account their social and economic welfare; thus Human Right is that tool that contributes to achieving such development.
