What the world cup means to me...

The World Cup is one of the best things that has happened to me this year. I love football and I can give up my food, sleep etc. for it. It is an event that brings the world togeter. It brings peace and friendship. What I love the most is, seeing the players swap jerseys after a match. It tells us that it does not matter where you come from and what color you are, we are brothers who can share each other's clothes and be not ashamed.
Considering the crowd at the stadiums and those elsewhere watching each game day after day, I don't think there is a more effective way of expressing love and unity for humanity than this. People forget about their differences, be it political, religious, social, cultural etc. just for the sake of the game. Thanks to God we have it every four years. This will give us a break from the problem of antagonism.
I wish all the participating teams God's blessings and I pray that you will enjoy it the way I am.
