RELIGION - WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE?

Religion is a way for people to connect to a power greater than themselves. It offers solace in hard times and an avenue to give thanks for the good stuff. It also provides teachings on just how to go about that difficult task of living ‘right’.
There are so many different religions out there and I really don't know a lot about any of them.
So... are you Muslim? Christian? Hindu? Buddhist? Jewish? or of any other faith?
If so, I would love to hear from you IN 100 WORDS OR LESS:
*What do you believe?
*What does your religion mean to you?
*What practices or life rules do you live by?

I admire your search for the truth. My advice to you is to read about every religion throughly, before you make your descision. As for my answer to your questions:
- My religion is Islam, it means (submission to God). We believe that God almighty is one God, he is the supreme power, the creator of everything, to whom we will all return one day for judgment. We believe in all the prophets sent by by God, and the mircales they performed by his will. We believe in Moses as a prophet, Jesus as a prophet, and all their precessors of the prophets. We believe that God sent the Torah (the book of Moses), and the Injil (the book of Jesus), Quraan is our book and we believe it is the final divine revelation; and we believe that prophet Mohammed is the seal of the prophets. We believe in Angels, and the core of all religions is love. Love to God, and to everyone.
- Islam is not just a spiritual religion, Islam is a way of life. Everything that you need to know to live your life fruitfully, and gain the pleasure of God, is found in the teachings of Islam. We don't admit of any religion that doesn't admit that there is only one God.
- The rules are in its core are the same like all other religions: Don't lie, don't steal, don't commit adultery, don't kill, honour your parents, be kind, love your neighbours, love all humans, don't be proud of yourself, don't eat pork, don't drink alcohol, do charity to the poor, in summary be perfect. These are the rules, but if you are asking about the rituals, then we have to pray 5 times a day, we have to fast from sunrise to sunset 1 month a year, we have to go perform pilgrimage in Mekka once in a life time, and we have to give a certain amount of our money to the poor, and if you give more in charity, then it will be rewarded by God. The charity goes directly from you to the poor, and it is better that no one knows about it, to save the poor dignity, and to keep you from pride.
