Hey,

I love talking about culture & identity. MAYBE we need a forum on spirituality, because I really find it hard to have to read through all these posts on Jesus and God. That's cool that you guys like talking about it, but I don't think it belongs in this forum.

PEACE,

elle.

Re: RELIGION/ Why bring a 2003 post on the front page?
June 13, 2006 - 11:25 AM

For the sake of generating the dialogue as requested in the initiating post, what is the difference between a forum for spirituality and another where Jesus and God are being talked about?

Why cant they be complementary to one another so as to be inviting, inspiring and compelling to be just, to love and to be wise? How do we identify our soul and our spirit? How do we recognise the purity of heart and the sanctity of body while remaining true to ourselves?

How do we stabilise our growing up into maturity that goes on growing with all the fervency and the drive of a healthy child?

How do we go from stranger to family?

Peace,

When I think religion, I look to the Faculty of Living that Faith provides.

When I need to relate to the word religion, I look to the organic experience of spiritual unity for a good conscience.

When life brings much more thaan I can bear, then the Scred Heart feeds me of the Sacred Fire that I may grow a pure heart.

When loneliness engulfs me toward insanity, the Great Spirit comes with divine comfort to show me the way to service of others, learnig to handle suffering in the maturity of the quietnening silence of patient wisdom, eternally present.

Hi elle,

There are a lot of changes going on with the discussion boards right now and we will take your suggestion for a new spirituality forum under consideration. In the future, if you have any concerns about how the forums are being run, please contact myself or Hayk (who will be added as a moderator soon).

Regards,
Erica

I tend to agre with Benoit17! I think these topics are rather complementary and can be easily placed under Culture discussion board as they are now.

Spirituality usually has many overlaps with various religions..

Thanks mnopq,
Over nearly 3 decades, I have had to learn to commuicate my love for God with non religious words and approaches. When it comes to culture, identity and religion, humanity is moving to where imposition of views or practices cannot be tolerated and yet, we find ourselves in a global crisis caused by such imposition getting pushed to the extremes of the entity of terror-anti-terror.
In the hope of being strickly inspiring, here is:

From Brown to Grenn

My work in cyber space that took me here, is to manifest the depth of the roots with which the Love of God reaches to take humans from the BROWN of our corruptibility to His GREEN Open Lead, reaching each one independently with His Love and attention and direction. To best way to describe the meaning of FROM BROWN to GREEN, we need to think microscopically, at the level of mollecules. I am a human who is one brown set of mollecules. I am part of the dirt of humanity. I am corruptible, therefore I am BROWN. One day, in my natural dark journey of decomposing from age and corruptibility, I get to be seized by something that takes my corruptible, BROWN humus nature and brings the set of mollecules that I am made of to combust; the inner connection of the roots into the unit of mollecules ignites "what" I am into "who" I am. The Vine of Eternal Life's Currency has now reached me with its deep root and I am now aware of being aware. From the BROWN unaware nature of corruptibility, I am now in the GREEN of spiritual infancy. Now from one such example at the mollecule level, let's go from here, you and I and lets take the ride with the sap. Here we go, travelling from the BROWN of dark, isolated sets of mollecules and now, from the light of renewed Green taking us from underground to the sunlight, we begin to see the grapes production that we are grown from and that goes on growing from each into the us of our completion. Once GREEN, all colors become part of the eternal, renewing nature we are of now and into forever.
