Hello y'all this is Shane Pulak from Project RAFT INt'l. I hope ur all doing fine and I hope your all in the mood for some lobbying. I would like to inform you that Either May 24, 25 in Accra Ghana Bono will arrive for an all day tour within the country.
As he is doing a ten day tour In Africa read here http://www.projectraft.org/view/82. WHat I would ask for you is that all of you come together as Im sending this to people who are from Ghana. The reason is simple if you can get Bono's attention to urselves as well as Project RAFTs name then we might have a great chance at getting funding and getting this great project off the ground within Ghana and possibly across the great African continent.
Since we are truly registered within Ghana it makes it all the more worth While. Simple signs made from Cardboard and Paint and people chanting could get his attention. Bono is always looking to speak with Africans directly so there is a great chance. Now I dont know just exactly where he will be Im thinking Accra and some where withn the city where there is a good AIDS program that is making a positive difference is my bet. Although I will keep trying to track just exactly where and when. Does anyone have any good leads within Ghana so you may also find out?
As well maybe if someone called the Newspaper companies maybe you could find out, or even a radio station we must be innovative in finding him come on it cant be that hard hes one of the biggest music and activist stars in the world so lets track him down and get Project RAFT in his face. Here is what I tried to do back in 2004, read this if your looking for some inspiration !!http://projectraft.org/fora/viewtopic.php?t=38
Im hoping that Dania Osman and Kwame Frempong will take the Leadership role in getting organised. Anyone with some paint, cardboard or good song making ability to come up with a chant will surely help get bOnos attention...So who is with me on this initiative? We have 3-4 days to prepare,,,,get on the phone call the new paper and call the radio station they probably can lead us in the right direction
Go Team, GO!
