I don't think anyone should take anything Michael Savage (The commentator) seriously. This is the first I've heard of this quote. Though I don't doubt it was said. Sadly it was probably said in passing which indicates his overall disregard for anything politically correct. While he may actually mean what he says, I think its safe to say that America as a whole is not rallied behind his cause. I doubt very much that anyone is truly rallied behind his cause for that matter. All you can do is laugh at his iggnorance.

oh, I know! GHow can anyone be so ignorant!!!!!! what an arrogant neo-nazi! If anyone agrees with him, which I am sure a few pathetic souls do, then they can just go jump off a cliff! this world has too much hate, it is a poison that seeps into our hearts from the outside world, turnig us against eachother like rabid animals! The sooner we cam unite as one, the less imanent our doom will be!!!

It's radio. They want to increase ratings, and therefore should not be taken too seriously. However I agree that this kind of remark should not be made lightly, and an apology should be demanded of him on air.

US policy in the Middle East questioned

These declarations by Mr. Savage are really matching his "name". It's really funny when the United States sends armies to the Middle East to "promote democracy and human rights" while such people are left free to spread words of hatred and xenophobia, at the same time war crimes are being committed by the coalition forces in Iraq (e.g. the Hadithah Massacre).
What I think is that the United States should spend more efforts in elevating its citizens on principles it claims to advocate, before trying to export these principles -by aircraft carriers and Tomahawk missiles-.
