your question is getting certain "answers" in different religions...
Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam and even Christianity have something to say about it, Eastern religions(_Hinduism,...) more so than "desert" religions (Islam Juaism, Christianity)..
So depending on which one is yours oyu have your answer!
Question of "what's there after death" is not answered by the science cause science doesnt treat questions of life and death other then in the scientific way which never implies any "explanation" to the essence of death or life. Scince rather deals with "lateral" effect of death and life...

The answer is very simiple
You just think.....
-what is the difference between living and a dead body
-what happens to the living body when it shapes as dead body
-what thing leaves the living body when it shapes as a dead body
-actually that is the spirit/soul which leaves the body and goes to other life which is the life after death
-Definitely the spirit of a good person places in good place (heaven) and the spirit of an evil person places in a tourible place "hell"
-I hope your question is answered.

I am certain and sure that there is actually an afterlife?does heaven and hell really
simply, we die every day when sleep and if we see real dream (ROIAA رؤيا) our spirit may be free from biody and go away meeting dead or life people and we wake up , but some do not wake up by God willing and die in their time
I say I am certain because :
Allah mentioned in Quraan beinning from from surah 2 which mention muttaquin who believe in unseen, perform salah, spend charity, believe in what Allah send to Mohammad and previous and believe in after life. many verses mentioned what will happened in hell and paradise
I am also ertain from private experience with death in death coma
I am also certain fromother experience with my dead brother who came in somthing like dream to wake up my daughter to give me piece of choclate in my mouth and she did not know that i was trying to call anyone but I could not
Any one noticed the lights of the night of power in the previous yer at the day of Quraan descended and specially who saw the colored lights like a agargen of light which we know as lights of angles who fill the sky in that night as mentioned in Quraan and explaned in hadeeth by prophet
any one can notice one is going to die and ask him what do you see , if he see good things he will have clear eyes and beautiful face but bad one do not seem like that
there are many evidences in Quraan and looking around ourself
as you know some insectes are complete and move then put eggs (dead) and return to life as complete one and others make silky room around it self like silk worms and lie dying inside, if you open you will find somthing strange not like the main one then turn to life beautiful butter fly go around and put eggs and so on
isnt this show us that the creator can wake up anyone after death in the same way
look around your self and learn from creatures around you you will find amazing things and evidences
peace for you all

Be aware that all afterlife theories or philosophies from the East & the West r some kind of phyco-education to bring hope to ppl. Educate people to love & serve ur neighbour, kindness, charity & tolerance are the way to built wealth and enrich ur afterlife. If there r abused or harmed by someone, u'll get compansation & punishment in the afterlife.
Those theories also suggest that someone (god) is always watch u. If u being negective, take advantages from, abuse or harm other ppl will lead u to hell or some kind of punishment to ur afterlife.
The Chinese Buddhist or Taoist afterlife philosopies oso try to explain y u r not born in a millionare's family. Claimed someone born with silver spoor is because his / her beforelife did a lot of charities & the wealth is passing to the afterlife.
It also go to another level to explain y there are conflicts of generation gap, hunband & wife, boyfriend & girlfriend relationships, work places & etc... Claimed that the conflict already started at the "beforelife". If the conflict did not settle, it will continue to the afterlife when ur lifelong enemies from "beforelife" become you sons, daughers, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, husband, wife, ex-lovers, work place enemies and etc...

Allah told us in his books which ended by Quraan that he is the creator and told us facts and science still did not know the facts mentioned, so who is our creator?
I know Allah as Allah is nearer to us than ourtic vain
You said we are lazy and I agree with you because we must do as Allah asked us not to believe blindly but we must look around ourselves and think
many people including mouslims do not do that . Because I work on agricultural researches and biotechnology, I noticed amazing things telling me that Allah is the greatist
and sobhana Allah (Glory for Allah) the only who create the universe
Allah mentioned that isnt Allah able to create Banan (finger). look at you finger print is it like your brother or even in your hand is your fingers like each other
did you hear any one that he created even a fly and if a fly caused somthing to any one does he able to prevent, you can notice evry day when scientists discover somthing , they found other new thing they do not know

about the topic of afterlife...
i think most of us are damn lazy !!! there is a quote in Armenian
Ծոյլութիւնից սև էշին ասում է՝ օրհնեայ տէր:
Transliteration: Tzooylootyoonits sev eshin asoom e "orhnya ter".
Translation: Out of laziness, s/he calls to the black donkey "bless me Lord".
Meaning: This proverb emphasizes the laziness of one [This is because an extremely lazy person would not raise her/his head to see who s/he is meeting, and could potentially confuse a black donkey with a priest, who wears black].
This is what all of us do!
we are so lazy, lost in our own selfish needs that we try to substitute the real good i.e helping each other as humans , respecting each other ' and run after something unachievable and abstract like the "supreme Being" i feel that one can get close to 'GOD' by trying to get close to others( ordinary mortals and our animal friends on this planet).
whatever happens and exists, exists in this world only ...there is nothing beyond...it is here in this world that we have the good , the bad, the ugly, the in between...of course nobody is born into these categories !!!
nobody is going to save us( no messiah) except somebody within us...
afterlife is just a figment of imagination to create fear in our mind of the possible punishment for wrong doings.
in hinduism there is no actual afterlife...the hindu philosophy believes that energy cannot be ever destroyed , so it passes on /gets 'reincarnated' /recycled into other life forms... and so the cycle of life continues...But with time, this philosophy passed into the realm of oral and folk tales and got reshaped into myths of afterlife about great men who were reborn to save the world etc.

thanks a lot everyone for giving your opinions.everyone has their own opinions on this issue and i respect that.i also have respect for god and i know god exists.infact god is the single most powerful unifying force on earth.no matter what country we belong to,irrespective of the race,irrespective of religion,we all believe in the power of god,but whether there is an afterlife or not is debatable.once again thanks everyone for your response.

Personally, I believe it does exist. I was sure when I contracted a near-fatal disease once, it was implied in my dreams that it was not my time.
Now that was weird.
Either way, it's nice to know that you have somewhere for eternal retirement after your life on Earth.

All those spiritual stuff like god, gods, godesses, religions & afterlives are very hard to find solid evidence to proof or proof by logical thinking. Cos there no one b able to bring story & evidence from "beforelife" or "afterlife" to our current world
i believe those r feeling & experiences. Some people can b connected & become spirital, some don't. Those who don't believe will think the believers r crazy. I think I would never waste time to explain or "proof" religion to someone who don't "connect" to it.

Instead of being in despair and/or in uncertainty about the existence of after-life, why not just enjoy every moment of what you currently possess? Any day you spend above the ground is a marvellous day, be thankful and cherish the presence of your loved ones.
