Greenpeace is on a year long journey to address different environmental problems concerning our oceans. Right now they are travelling up the coast of West Africa to work against the illegal fishing going on there. The illegal fishermen, whose fish often ends up on our dinner plates are taking advantages of the poorer countries lack of funds for patrolling their coast. This means the small African fishing villages loose a lot of their catch. The illegal fishermen uses very destructive fishing methods like bottom trawling or long fishing lines (100 km) and the bycatch of sea birds, dolphins, whales and sea turtles are thrown overboard, dead.
