In most part of Africa right now there is a major concern on Homosexuality. In most part of West Africa and central also places colonaized by the Brits there is a 5 year Prison term also in some Muslim parts there is a death by stoning. Now this is of great concern to most youth activist but i noticed that alot of poeple readily condem Homosexuals and also infriging on their basic Human rights. One of the most annoying aspect is the action from religious bodies calling them all sort of names and judging them based on their own beliefs destroying the act of Freedom of religion . Presently the government of nigeria is trying to pass a bill that would ban any relationship between same sex and also that would increase the jail term. A major clause of the bill is that there shall be a ban on any same sex demostraton destroying the Freedom of expression and also anyone who supports such acts would be aressted and jail without bail.
This is a great concern because we have the rise in HIV/AIDS and a major minority group that is large;ly affected is the Gay group and if this HIV is to be controled everywhere the GAy community should be involved and be treated same. I would like to know people views on this issue also from religious bodies on what they think about it
