Over Consuming? May be air!!
January 6, 2003 - 01:54 AM

Yeah. May be air I think! To me it may be the nearest thing on my mind. I have been taking in air from the time I was born. You will bear me witness that I can’t do without it and neither can you. It’s a necessity, for sustaining our lives! Decide to stop breathing and you will be history. The good thing is it’s painless when you don’t have a cough. If there was a way out I would have stopped breathing way back. My point is one may define over consuming in their own way but one fact can not be skipped- taking in/up in excess. Now what is better between wasting and over consuming?
When I was a kid mum would tell me of how God would get annoyed with me if I skirted on eating food before resorting to disposing it. She would expound on how people were starving to death in other parts of the world. “That food could have saved some starving and dying soul Chris!”, she would explode and I would constantly feel guilty.
My point is, look around for better ways of extending and maximizing the use of any resources either by your self or someone else or even something else. Nature is always ready to play it’s last part absorbing in disposals. Find means of fully utilizing any thing in excess and if possible get it packed, for someone else can benefit from it. Set up ‘Excess Centers’ in you community if possible and invite every one to forward any bothering ‘excess stuff’ and lead a team to relay these to those who would need them. You will look for me just to tell me how this worked afterwards!
