This is something that people have been asking about for a LONG time -- when will TakingITGlobal have a lower-bandwidth version? Well, I spent some time tonight playing around with a number of ideas and came up with a pretty simple layout and method of overlaying a low-bandwidth version of the site on top of TIG as it is; check it out and let me know what you think -- THERE IS A LOT BROKEN/NOT WORKING -- but please tell me what you like and what is broken so I can fix it if I don't already know  http://low.takingitglobal.org/

Congratulations yet again Mike.
Clean and good functionality (have not play with all features yet - but no hassles so far).
This is *way* faster on a regular phone line and will be a great relief for folks in rural areas of our region!
