Is 'Self survival' truly the first law of nature, should it be regarded as such?

I would say its to live long(as long as you can) and to leave as many children after you as you can. Thats an overall animal survival law of nature but i dont think it should be the unique objective of our lives cause we consider ourselves higher than higher primates smile

We should also make sure that our children will have a better future than we do!
