???

Hello. I don't know why people do this even after we guys at TIG had the internet month. Like Phone numbers and home addresses, email id's are private properties of individuals. Just like we ask for permission, before we call someone up or arrive at their homes... we need to do the same with email id's. We take it very lightly and start spamming people even if they might not like it. Where does the courtesy of asking for permission go?????
Offlate, I have been receiving unsolicited mails from various id's of people and organisations like devu, bharatuday etc. in my email box. I don't know how anyone got hold of my email id, and they did'nt even ask me for my permission before sending me spam.
I would sincerely want that I be removed from these lists... and peeps stop spamming me! I don't dig receiving unsolicited mail from strangers! I would like to bring this to the notice of whoever is incharge. Also I have tried blocking and everything it dint work, could someone tell me what to do?
..Thanks for everything.

I do not think that this is an issue

As to my view, this matter does not even deserve posting it here. First, it is not something that can be considered as a problem, in which you can directly send emails to the people who are sending to you that you do not want to receive from the, and if it persists it is just a matter of deleting..Second, people like communicating with people whether they are member of TIG or not, and in such cases, it is not bad to communicate with them and develop kind of good friendship, whether they ask you permission or not. The first email they send can be considered as permsiion, and if you keep on responding to them, it imeans you have accepted them.
I prefer to post here ideas which lead to productive consultations-which help society and youth in many ways than put my personal issue to the public. As Albert Einstein said: small minds discuss people; middle minds discuss events; and great minds discuss ideas.
Regards

Hey again ..
Its bad to receive e-mails like that !!!
but i don't think that this is the problem of TIG website !!!!
They don't force you to put your e-mail address..
They just give you the option to do that .. and it is not a must to include you e-mail in your profile...
anyway,I think that you should plam ppl who sent you mails NOT the TIG .... right?
Take care

Hi Valenska,
well , i checked you profile and i didn't see that you have included your private E-mails address there !!!
so,if you are talking about receiving mails in your TIG mail page ( My TIG) i think that this is not a big problem !!!
I think that one of the goals that TIG is trying to achieve is to let ppl communicate with each other !!
and if you don't like that,so maybe you should simply ignore these messages that you are receiving ( not a big problem i think !!!)
Take care...

Hey!
Just like posting an email on any site, there are tons of ways that spammers can get your email address. I'm sorry if you want to leave TIG because of that. You can email memberservices {AT} takingitglobal {DOT} org at any time to have your account removed from the site. You can use tricks like I've done above to try and trick spammers, but sometimes that doesn't work either.
Post here if I can help in any other way!
