Hi Everyone,
I live in San Francisco, California in the United States. I'm currently working with Youth Together Against AIDS - a coalition of young people working for global AIDS activism. Right now we're trying to make an "AIDS Activism Kit" - basically, a collection of materials to help someone get a project started around AIDS, either in AIDS prevention, treatment, or activism.
We want this kit to inspire, inform, and empower. The idea is that it would include all the necessary tools to start an AIDS project in your community, whether it's raising awareness about AIDS, fundraising to support humanitarian aid on the issue, or using political activism.
Are you an HIV/AIDS activist, or have you been interested in becoming one or learning more about HIV/AIDS and how you can help? We need your input! What would you want in a kit to help you get started? (Some ideas have been basic booklets of HIV/AIDS info, personal stories, a video, red ribbons, condoms, info on how to contact your political representatives, etc.)
Please also contact me if you would be interested in receiving the kit once it's done, or if you have a personal story to share that we might include in this action kit!

Dear Katharine,
In India, incidence of AIDS and HIV+ is getting high. Particularly in Urban Slums and rural area from where migrants come to cities for work. Many of families are having disguse cases and several deaths have taken place in eastern UP, India.
I am working on awarenss in my local area for the same, since I am student and working freelance.. not much support is getting in. I am in process to organizing a team for the same with the help of local youth. Since I am studying in India's top educational institute, It is easy to contact local authories and politicies. I have already talked with them. Hopefully, I can contribute to the society.

my name is gloria a nigerian and also an Aiesecer. we are working to set up health centres on aids in high schools down here. we are in need of training materials so would love ur kit. u can also include HIvV educational board games, picture educational cards as well to your collection.

THE CURE TO A.I.D.S. IS IN THE BACK TO EDEN BOKK BY JETHRO KLOSS(GET A PRE 1980 EDITION AND LOOK ON PAGES 551-3 UNDER SYPHILIS. IN 1985 GOD COMMISSIONED ME TO FIND A CURE TO A.I.D.S. HE KNEW I HAD THE BOOK IN MY HOUSE ALREADY AND I EXCLUSIVELY USE HERBAL HEALING METHODS (NOT SYNTHETICS OR VACCINES).
I WANTED TO SERVE GOD SO HE GAVE ME THE JOB OF TELLING HIS PEOPLE HOW TO HERBALLY CURE THEMSELVES OF A.I.D.S. JUST AS JUNGLE ANIMALS STILL DO FOR THEIR DISEASES.(NO OSCO OR WALGREENS PHARMACY IN THE JUNGLE JUST PLANTS AND SCHRUBS THOSE ANIMALS KNOW WHAT MAN HAS LOST THE KNOWLEDGE OF FOR THE MOST PART.

Hi i am Moses from kenya and for quite a while i have been looking for an initiative like yours tocome up with a brilliant KIT on HIV/AIDs but i would like to point out lots and lots of people do this kind of thing without going to the GRASSROOT where all the answers are and where all the SOLUTIONS are.Iwork in the community and to speak the truth we in the third world are trully trully neglected even from our own countries where all the funds to fight HIV/AIDS are confined to URBAN areas and not even RURAL areas are bothered by the issue.Lots of NGOs come with bright and brilliant idead and lots of promises but all in Vain we are left behind.I am sure a lot of people will be able to talk and say a lot is being done in the Rural areas and to the rural folks i will bet 10000$ Nothing and if its being done its being done in a very very shallow manner.I have seen peole whites coming and taking pictures and going and making money from these fellas in the Rural areas.I have seen peole who still think HIV/AIDS is still a curse all the while The UNAIDS our National AIDS CONTROL COUNCIL(thats the gvornment agency given the mandate to help in the fight against AIDS)say that they have achived 100% knowledge !
Apart from that i have to raise a question to you how ill a kit help these communities like mine if its not even in the local native language?How are we to know that you are just applying what is only and is and can be done in the States and not in Kenya?How do we ipliment what is on the KIT to fit the community?I am not implying that the initiative is BAD but i am trying to say lots and lots of things need to be done if the KIT is to help you probabaly need to do a COMREHENSIVE,THOROUGH andA BRILLIANT NEEDS ASSEMENT!The post and reply about GOD and all this is out of topic and the TIG memeber is entittled to HIS/HER opinion but GOD HELPS those who help themeselves and he has NEVER told peole to get AIDS and human are Humans all they need is to be informed and better choices in life!I would like to get the KIT once its complete and i would like to help anywhere necessary!
