Very interesting...
I've actually thought about this one before, after hearing the song...was it by Alanis Morisette? Anyway, if God were here, I'd bet he'd be so disappointed. What with all the wars, famine, and people either denying "His" existense or downplaying it. If he were here, we'd better get our act together.
And please... since the premise given by dinabedawey is "What if God were one of us?", I hope nobody would comment something like, "We don't even know if God exists.." or something to this effect, because man, that's a totally different thread altogether. Just stick to the premise, will you? And let's have a good one here.

LEt me say thats any thing you will imagine it god will be different..so i think its hard to put god in any place from our place..coz you will not find the suitable place for GOD ...as example if you love someone and someone ask you describe to me plz??i dont think you will find the exact description for this human,,,what do you think in god..you will find a description??..sorry zhac i will speak in arabic.

Crazy theory

Lets say god exists. Having accepted the existence of him,I have this
cool theory on why world is such a pathetic place after all. I mean if
there existed an infinitly wise and morso powerful entity then why
would the earth any different from heaven? Check it out and reply with
your veiws.
We know that god existed from begining of time, and that the universe
was made at some point of time by god. And then life was spawned by
him. So lets have god on the couch. He is an entity with infinite
integrity of mind, and was alone for an infinite amount of time . We
know too well that a being of any given integrity kept alone for enough
time(proportional to the integrity of course) will lose sanity. Using
the same rule on God what we have is an insane God! A being with more
ability than anything can possibilly fathom has lost it and is out
free. Scary Huh.
I know it is crazy and was a by product of a sleepless night. But care
to reply,even if just for the laughs.

Very good post but we are not looking at God from any particular religious perspective. The question is "What if God was one of us?"
If he was one of us, then I'd surely hope he was one of us with some serious common sense!
And God being one of is isn't a far-fetched notion. There are all these people ALL OVER THE WORLD who call themselves 'men of God' and get worshipped for it. They supposedly heal the ailing with magic touches or magic potions. So technically, there are already thousands (if not more!) self-appointed Gods on the face of this earth. Sad but true.
