I think, that cities more increasing, and woods more lesser owing to traditional thinking at politicians and economists. If to count that it will turn out that woods absolutely 0. The person and plants is Siamese twins and искуственное division results them in different accidents and destruction of all alive on our planet. If to build cities on the Moon that it not an output. It is necessary at a level of DNA , and Henry Toro or the Lion Thick will learn to live in harmony with the nature, as for example. All dissenters separated on woods are united today with a noosphere of information technologies. not manufactures accessible at the price of independent generators and residential buildings from local materials (clay, peat, a fabric, harmonious супкр for them it it is possible to make strong skeletons instead of the weapon) .Power remains without slaves. In it I see the purpose of development of green democracy. EVERYONE IN ITSELF Since the BIRTH the PERSON Also is capable TO CREATE the CULTURE of the LIFE OR PLANT FOREST.В DIALOGUE With the NATURE And the NOOSPHERE HEALTH And SAFETY to IT are provided From the moment of РОЖДЕНИЯ.ЖИВИТЕ In the WOOD, COMMUNICATE ON the INTERNET, INVITE FRIENDS, PUT РАСТЕНИЯ.ИЗУЧАЙТЕ ITSELF And the LIFE, LIFE ОКРУЖАЮЩТХ, PROTECT And INCREASE greatly CITIES DOBRO.TOGDA WILL turn To MUSEUMS of the MODERN ART, And FACTORIES WILL pass TO the CLOSED CYCLE OF REPRODUCTION of OBJECTS FOR the LIFE WITHOUT WASTE And With MINIMAL EXPENSES ЭНЕРГИИ.ПРОТИВ of IT THOSE ACT WHO And FURTHER PLANS TO DESTROY our PLANET And DOES NOT WISH TO LOSE AUTHORITY ABOVE PEOPLE.

Now, gradually then, we began to have information of genetics genes; and the biological species being controlled some kind of way in the Darwinian time they had cells. And you could recognize those cells as something, and you could learn more about those cells by looking with the microscope very extraordinary things go on here dichotomies of various kinds, and suddenly then, genes and something very specially controlling special designs of special creatures. And men begin to make more and human beings begin to investigate more and more the control of the species. So what they needed was to get living organisms that had very rapid generations, to be able to see from generation to generation what the changes might be, and if they could find what any of the variables controlling it might be. They found that the fruit flies, then, had very swift regeneration. But even more so, and a lot was found thru the fruit flies. But then we found that even more rapid were the tobacco mosaic viruses very rapid, therefore you gradually began to discover what was being responsible for various conditions in these growths. Then came the realization that you were dealing with viruses, and with this realization came a whole new area of virology. And virology got into the protein shells of the viruses, and within it discovering the DNA-RNA controls of the actually the code of the guanine, thymine, cytosine, adenine which came together to produce these extraordinary, unique designs of all the biological species.

Do enough people care?

I would say no, or at least not the "right" people. It seems as though nothing can thwart the rapid decimation of the world's wild places. From the Amazon Rainforest to the National Parks in the U.S. to basically the entire country of China, environments are cleared, urbanized, and polluted almost to the point of no return despite the efforts of many environmental protection organizations. I know that the U.S. president doesn't give a damn about any of this and I will venture to say that many other countries officials deem these issues of little importance. Who cares if we give our citizens cancer and birth defects from chemicals and radioactive waste? Who cares if everyone develops asthma from dirty cars and factories? Who cares if we kill off the wildlife and leave ourselves in a barren wasteland? Perhaps I'm over-reacting, but personally, I'm sick and tired of this mindless destruction. Humans are supposed to be the smartest living things. Then why can't we see the consequences of our own actions? Unless something changes soon, future generations will be suffering greatly under the burden of our thoughtlessness.

People care?
July 2, 2005 - 04:57 AM

Maybe we care, but do we care enough to act on it? I don't want to give up a lot of the stuff I have, even if this will make the world better in 50 years time. I am, as is typical of many humans, blimmin' selfish.

I think our role is stewardship. We are the only species capable of fulfilling this role and maybe we should live up to it.

My opinion is that many people care, but aren't aware that the dangers lie in what the masses do. Sure, industry is a big culpret, polluting the atmosphere and destroying trees, but if the masses are aware that it's a fixable thing, we can take action.

I believe that in order to run up support for the environment, we also need to discourage skeptics. Scientists that say they don't believe us about Global Warming, or officials from corporations and industry who say the planets' ecosystems are fine, ultimately ruin our jobs. We need to find positive language and frame our cause with moral and social incentives to increase popular support for this issue.

Plus we need more people making effective speeches that reach out to the audience with experience and wisdom. I'm doing my part to get the word out by writing and memorizing a 10-minute speech on this, and competively doing it around the US (which is ofcourse where its needed).

Can take a While

It can take years to build a movement and get people to care. If you look at the abolition (US and UK), labor, and civil rights movements, they took decades before they became popular. Even the original environmental movement spanned a period of nearly 100 years.

I am NOT trying to discourage. ;-) Just pointing out that many times our work is like Johnny Applessed or Justin Morrill: the full benefits sometimes come after a long period of hard work.

Well I think that in this present age, there aren't enough people who really care about environment. Everyone is busy with their personal, business problems & making a living for themselves. And in this they dont find anytime to think about anything else except their own desires.

Without even reading the wikipedia entry on the Copenhagen Consensus, I can tell you with absolute certainty that the environment becomes a political mandate only to the extent that it is economically expedient to do so. Of far greater importance to preserving and improving our living environment than marches and ralliess, are the economic studies into the fiscal benefits of environmental consciousness. If it is shown empirically that acting in an environmentally responsible way ends up over some period of time being more profitable than the short-term plunder of the planet, companies will act accordingly. If not, the reality is that all the marches and rallies in the world will be insufficient to halt the machinery of companies who have far too much invested, and far fewer checks on their power than government, to just stop

The good news is that many companies are now buying into the idea that acting green makes green.
