Hi Siddharth! Welcome to TakingITGlobal! I'm glad that you are interested in becoming active around the MDGs. Did you have a look at our MDG monthly theme page already? If not, you should go to: http://mdg.takingitglobal.org!
Also, please download our MDG Youth Action Guide that was specifically created for young people like you, who want to do something but don't really know where to start. You can download a pdf-version of it here: http://tig.phpwebhosting.com/themes/mdg/action_guide.pdf or fill out our short survey and we'll send you a full Campaign Kit (including other cool stuff like bookmarks, stickers etc) as soon as it is printed. Go to our survey here: http://surveys.takingitglobal.org/survey.html?SurveyID=19.
We also have regional youth editors who connect with people just like you in their region. For Asia-Pacific, our regional youth editor is Romi, who is based in Vietnam. You can contact her via romi@mdg.takingitglobal.org!
I hope this info helps you to get started! Feel free to send me an e-mail if you want to have more info (franziska@takingitglobal.org)!

Hi Siddhart,
the MDG Youth Action Guide is a 28-page booklet with information about the Millennium Development Goals and ideas as well as advice for young people who would like to start their own campaign to help achieve the MDGs by 2015.

Now is the time

Hi guys,i am Kachi and new to this forum but not new to this issue.I think now is the time when we shift the entire responsibilty of development from our governments to ourselves.I believe that as youths,we are agents of social change.in my country Nigeria the youths who are the future of the world have little or no skill.therefore my environment is giving me a clear example that development is not all about building good roads, bridges, and the rest,it is majorly about developing the potentials in man so that he can effectively subdue his environment. As youths let us give our resources in making sure that kids around us develop interest in life sustainig skills, and depend less on government stipends.A saying goes thus"give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, give him a fishing rod,you feed him for life". let us act now.stay cool

Hi!
I know what info you want to get. But you should check MDGs on follow sites before making your questions.
http://www.un.org/millenniumgoals/
http://www.developmentgoals.org/
http://www.millenniumcampaign.org
At the first time I joined in TIG and wonder about MIGs, I also didn't knew what MDGs mean. But after I had spent time to research on it, I got all necessary info.

Did you know that TIG has developed it's own site on the MDGs? The information there is much more youth-friendly than on the sites you mentioned and it also has some great interactive featueres, such as an MDG Game and MDG e-cards that you can send to your friends. Have a look at: http://mdg.takingitglobal.org!
