2005 Impact Of Globalisation On Youth , Conference
May 26, 2005 - 03:17 AM

The 2005 Impact Of Globalisation On Youth conference, is a three days programme which hopes to shed some light on the nature of citizenship for young people in an inter-connected world. The goal of The 2005 Impact Of Globalisation On Youth conference is to stimulate new thinking and new knowledge on the various ways in which young people and their transition to adulthood are affected by a range of global and transnational processes (economic, political, technological, cultural, legal) that affect their livelihoods, education, job opportunities, political aspirations, and identities.

The three days programme will consist of a mixture of elements; issues and skills, scenario analysis, social and global issues, sight seeing tours and a range of other activities to encourage interaction and international link building, amongst the participants of the event.

The conference is aimed at young people aged from 18 to 30 years. Also, youth project workers and youth leaders up to the age of 40 years or older will also be encouraged to attend.

Participants at the workshop will be encouraged to contribute effectively to the development of their global and local community, and to build the tools, actions and understandings to reshape globalisation and its impacts on global youths. Sight seeing tours of historic London will also form part of international link building amongst the conferences participants. The conference will provide you with the opportunity to gain new skills and enhance on your already existing leadership skills at the same time. Further more it will link its participants with like minded young people from around the world who share many of your ideas for a better world.

CONFERENCE COSTS £210

Please note that all Nigerian participants who are between the age of 18 to 31 and have never been to the United kingdom will not be granted visa by the British Consulate.
