Is George Galloway honest?

The George Galloway saga has made many of those who viewed him as innocent to start having their doubts. Is it true his political organization received Iraqi oil money through a proxy at a time when the Iraqi children were going hungry? Let George Galloway come out and clarify this one crucial issue lest his image, which is apparently clean be stained.

George Galloway is a great defender of human rights.
I've seen the video of him before the senete - he put that jumped up little sentor in his place.
If they were having an enquirey to him he should have been invited over during it - not after.
There is one line which i think sums everything up
"I have met with Saddam Hussein the same number of times as Donald Rumsfeld (twice) only i wasn't selling him guns and gas."
- George Galloway

Galloway's human rights record is not in dispute so far. At least according to the way I see it. His case is that of a promising human rights activist being caught up in a compromising situation. One damaging question is, why did his political organization receive money from Saddam's regime at a time when there was an outcry over the misuse of the oil-for-food programme's funds?

With regards to your comments about Mr Galloway receiving money from Saddam ,well It has never been proven that he has received any set sum of money nor has the US given us any hard core evidence, they told us Iraq had WMD's and they had overwelming evidence, this time around they are telling us that Galloway received Money and Oil with again overwelming evidence wich hey have failed to produce at any enquiry.
I have had the pleasure and the chance to meet with Mr Galloway a couple of months ago I must say he is a very charismatic man and we did have a little exchange of words and I can see that his meaning what his doing, I have a friend who thinks of george gallowway as a liar but my friend is a great supporter of the American and British regimes thats tells you its really down to every person's point of view if someone is eirher innocent or guilty of a crime but without evidence no one can really say his a dishonnest man but the evidence that supports him to be a honest ,man fighting human rights abuses well that is evident in abundance.
regards
LLA

I am a non conformist. I support people out of conscience and what I deem as fit to humanity's general good. I have no problem with Galloway, personally. I nfact, my only contention is the fact that he fervently supported a repressive regime knowing clearly well that it was unjust. Why couldnt he petition Saddam to humbly descend from power and leave a humane leader to take over? Democracy is viewed with respect to the human good. Not by observing another nation or person. For we are all human and therefore err at one time or another. The greatest moment for a leader and human being at that is admitting a mistake.
