Innovative education
February 16, 2010 - 06:45 AM

In the developing world i think the education stratergies are improving in various ways...firstly what happened a decade ago is completly changed in the world today

For example earlier it was mainly a teacher based education system with less interaction...but in the recent times this has changed and its most of a student based learning system that prevails...

Also earlier the knowledge base that we studied was not subjected to many changes which resulted in us studying the sam thing for years...but again ..now field of discoveries are fast increasing and this is where technology comes into play...

now internet etc has turned to be the root of education...this is a certain innovation...as different points of views on the certain fact from all over the world can be seen which will ensure a more advanced learning...

this change is extremely a good one..

yeap...I agree with you..even in my country, Brunei Darussalam on progress towards integrating ICT into lesson...
Our curriculae also updated and known as "Sistem Pendidikan Negara Brunei Darussalam Abad ke-21" (SPN-21) where one of it's rationale is emphasizing teachers to integrating ICT into subjects.

Therefore, the teachers must be more creative in their teaching on implementing the technology into their classroom without using a computer lab.

There is ample opportunity available in the system to teach children in innovative way. Many corporate took initiatives as a part of social responsibility to make children educated so that they can join the workforce in future and can participate in the development of the society as well. Microsoft Project Shiksha is a program that builds the partnership with governments and school s to integrate technology into daily teaching and learning to provide innovative education.
