Stamford - I don't know that I beleive that the houses that are bulldozed are always the houses of bombers.
And yes my friend - I beleive everyone wants peace - but passions run very high in that part of the world - and the thing about religion is that it is not always rational - often times it is very irrational - with the holy sites involved and the Holy Land at stake - passion often blinds more practical instincts.

I'm pretty confident in my saying that the houses demolished by IDF had ties to terrorism, if by housing the family of a bomber, or being used for smuggling weapons, or one for launching attacks. Many houses were demolished for being used as platforms for shooting cars and passerby in the highways they overlooked. True, these houses werent home to suicide bombers, but terrorists nonetheless.
[What motive does israel have for demolishing these homes, if not to discourage and prevent terrorism? It is very expensive to go through the whole process... The entire area must be evacuated, then demolishing vehicles must be deployed, and security personel...etc.]
The demolition of houses is really not the issue, but I wanted to defend it against deligitimization. No lives are lost, its one of the most peaceful ways of exerting force against terror. While Israel demolishes one pinpoint location such as a house that had a weapons-tunnel underneath or something....America in afghanistan just bombed the hell out of an area of suspicion, inflicting alot more damage to houses that werent even involved. I'm not badmouthing America, but i wanted to show the parallel, and how Israel's demolition of houses is actually a more humane method to fight terror than more conventional methods.

Thanks Luke for making things clear
Stamford I believe that we spoke a lot about this topic
and I think I dont need to remind you about what happened in Jenin a refugee camp was demolished totaly over the people demolishing all houses there. you can read in one of the British newspaper about it:
http://this.is/jenin/
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,3-268533,00.html
I repeat again I am not here to speak about damage and destruction made by occupation, because every human being is against occupation but the thing is to discuss about solutionas and Peace.
So Stamford, I think if we still have people who defend what a destructive occupation is doing and agree of killing incent people in their houses we will never reach a solution. So this is a call for Peace to work togeather to live in peace.

mttamimi - I think we can also say that everyone is against terrorism and the violence it brings.
So when we have people still defending groups like Hamas we will never reach a solution.
As for Jenin - yes there was destruction there, some of it unwarrented.
However there was also many militants there, bomb factories etc. and you know this is true.
I don't think it can be called entirely unjust for the Israelis to go clean out Jenin when so many who have committed violent acts of terrorism against Israeli civilians hail from there.
the raid on Jenin I beleive was directly following the terrorist bombing which killed an entire family of 29 people as they sat down to Passover dinner - and that bomber was from Jenin.
As we write this the "ceasefire" is very delicate indeed. it has been violated by both sides - Israeli army has shot at a few Palestinians and I believe killed a few Hamas members recently.
Hamas has launched mortors into settlements and Israeli towns.
