Is there a differences in sexual harassment in the workplace vs. an academic setting?
I personally do not see any difference between sexual harassment in the workplace vs. in an academic setting. I feel that it would be equally as difficult to tackle in either case as well. Whether it be your job or your class you have a lot on the line as to what you could lose for filing a complaint and nothing be done about it. For example, if your boss was the culprit of harassment you face losing your job possibly if they do not get trouble for their actions, whereas in a class you face a possible failing grade. I really don't know that much about the laws regarding the issue at hand, but I do know that if it involved a professor I would have resources to turn to at least find out what to do in order to resolve the issue and make sure appropriate action takes place.

it is worse of in class settings

I recently read a story where parents had to apply mob justice because the good and trusted teacher was just too rampant. i have also heard of instances going on in institutions of learning that are comical but also very worrying.
some students enjoy sexual exploitation for better results.
they can not stand flocking in an exam so they give in to abusers.
and not only teachers or lecturers exploiting students but also students that are better placed either physically, monetarily or intellectually also involve in sexual harrassment- use their priviledged circumstances or power. i think, it is an issue that needs be looked in with seriousness.
awareness campaighns and legal provisions are needed to combat the evil

I believe that as a student you have less rights in this. Especially if this is in the secondary or even elementary level. Most officials will believe the adult and not the child, just another form of agesim, but I believe for the culprit, if they are caught there would be more consquences. So the harder to tell, the better the results. This might sound cynical but this is how i feel.

what rights?

I think any one with a conscience has the rights that he or she needs to uphold. only toddlers and little baby can not stand up for a given right.
So, no matter the age, provided our conscience is convinced about a given violation of a right, we should be able to stand up and challenge.
Young pupils can only do it with the help of the elders. youths and adults ought be firm in challenging and seeking justice or the good.
I think, each person who knows what a right or his or her right is, has a right to stop and guard against exploitation or any other form of malpractice.
