So, I should say that now I work with project called "Tell the beer: "NO!".
In this project I try to find the main problem which is caused by drinkin' beer. I counted diffirent opinions about this problem and I should say that the results are terrible! I've discovered that this problem is very important and very dangerous in our country (Russia) between teens. And now I try to develop the program for solving this problem, we also try to involve grownups. Guys, what can U tell me about this problem? Have U got it in your country, every opinion is very important 4 me. Thanks.
Mary.

I think your venture is worthy praise. i hope you manage to get to as many teens as possible and be able to help them. In my country, some people abuse drugs. I think the 'alcoholic anonymous' kind of programme has helped many and can work for many. you can research more into it and modify its dynamic to suit into your situation.

There's been a bit of stuff in the UK press about 'binge drinking'. People here aren't worried so much about addiction among teens, but more about people who will just over-do it on weekends or holidays. It's particularly been on the increase among girls/women.

I absolutely agree with U. Maybe I should think about the culture of drinkin' beer? 'Cause it is terrible, when teenagers welk around the area, for example, with the bottle or can of beer. It is impossible for normal girls, I guess. Many people say: "Beer? Well it is good, when you drink it in the summer, when it is too hot". I understand this point of view, but when the person says that every evening he/she and his/her friends stick together and drink a lot of beer, I am worried about the future of our country and the whole world, of course.
Oh! And i should say that we talk with students of our school. They are 7-17 years old, and we talk with parents, 'cause we want to create and develop a program, which will help parents to bring up their children

The problem is also rampant im country. I believe what you need do is to initiate a massive awareness campaign. And may put the machinery in place for the govt to put a law that will reduce alcohol consumption.

In australia drinking is seen as a way of life. It is not uncommon for most australian youth to binge drink on the weekend and even have a few drinks during the week. The alcohol are really starting to smart up by different modes of advertising and many different drinks. It is a massive problem but also a multi billion dollar industry

ummmm...
"there have not been any problems in NZ with drinking alchohol"
Whatever! Lots of people have died through drink-driving etc which is directly related to alcohol consumption, schoolkids at parties go out and get pissed every couple of weeks on Saturday...and this isn't a problem? It's just that the 'binge-drinking' culture means that there's so much possibility for something to go desperately wrong. This has happened-people die, get diseases, get pregnant etc because they drink, and their judgement is inhibited or whatever. Usually, the next morning they can't even remember what happened.

Drinking is a serious problem among teens in the US. I live in a small town in California and it's a big problem here because there isn't much to do here for teens, so we turn to drinking and doing drugs. I'm only 14 and kids my age have already been caught drinking and smoking marijauna. We have a lot of anti-drug rallies at school and have a red- ribbon week which focuses on being drug free. Also, my dad works at a prison here and they used to put on dances downtown to give teens something to do.
