Is it possible to alleviate poverty? How about this senario!?
April 6, 2005 - 10:50 AM

My name is shane Im from Niagara Falls Ont. Canada. I have been a practicing humanitarian for 3 years ever since I was inspired by none other than Bono himself when he started an organization called D.A.T.A maybe your aware Debt Aid Trade Africa---He said "I'm not interested in the complicated problems of the world but rather the complicated solutions!" Well these words inspired me to come up with solutions but I'm not sure they are complicated! Logical and practical? Very! I will try to give you the skinny on this this..

-We start in a stable, democratic, sub-Saharan Africa country that is situated on the coast as location will play a very important part in starting to alleviating some of this extreme poverty!

Then using a solar tower that has now become a proven renewable energy source that has 20 years of R&D behind it and will first be built in Australia in 2008 and will be the tallest man tallest man made structure on earth...www.enviromission.com.au --see for ur self!!!!

Using this break through technology we are capable of producing 200 mega watts of renewable, emission free, electric power or the equivalent energy for 800,000 people all driven by convection-wind energy...But this wind, is (man/desert made) and the heat from the hot inexhaustible-sun drives this energy source 24/7 even at night power is still created! (I have all the stats and proven info on this as well as cost)

Ok...... we now use this energy and put it to use in various productive ways as most nations do! Most of the energy goes to the near by city ex. Mombassa capital city in Kenya..but 20-30 mega watts stays behind and is used for other purposes ...this is where it starts to get interesting....because we are located next to the ocean we build a desalination plant..That is a plant a turns sea water into fresh water...there are currently about 7500 operating in the world right now!!

Desalinating anywhere from 4 million liters a day to 100 million liters a day...that’s allot of fresh water.....using this fresh water again we send most of it to the city and keep some back in the desert that we are situated in...Now we are in position to create an oasis... we plant a variety of agriculture as well as build simple ponds for aquaculture...(I seen this done in Taiwan it was extremely efficient and a simple process)...Back to Growing agriculture. I have come across some terrific plants well suited for the African climate that have great potential for both much needed nutrition as well as creating various commodities both primary and secondary commodities..

Primary commodity = harvested soy bean...secondary commodity= soil oil, tofu.....very basic examples.....but the plants im talking about are totally suited for the hot African climate and have a lot more potential than tofu...stay posted for these!

As these commodities are refined using renewable energy to drive the processes they now qualify for special trade incentives under the Kyoto protocol Agreement...creating employment and commodities to trade....

This information is very basic but I have put together a very in depth plan that is about 25 web site pages..it is packed with info,,pictures,,, discussion boards,,,links,,,

It lobbies everyone from the U.N ,,to Bill Gates to "Oprah Winfrey- tell me why someone needs 1.7 billion dollars for!? to Bono all of them who ever claimed to help or who is helping Ms.Africa is on this proposed web site with direct links and their telephone numbers so members who join this web site can lobby them!!!!! Very important!!!!! I hope ur all getting the idea and a little inspiration from this...

Now here’s the deal.. I got 2 guys here in my home town that can build this web site.. their web site is www.8idesign.com nice fellows...but the price is a bit to steep...$1200cdn

I for one have about $400 as I devote all my time on these issues...

So who ever can help with what ever positive input or financial aid would be greatly appreciated..or maybe you know a great web designer who would donate their time and talent much like I have devoted mine!

Thank you
God Bless
