Rapes in Remand Prisons

Police in Kenya are still ruthless. Citing a case where female suspects who are awaiting court hearing of their cases are exposed to vast dangers, the main being rape. These suspects suffer in the hands of police officers who sexually abuse them. They are also sometimes raped with their male inmates who are not very well segregated from them. Its time the Kenyan prisons and others in the world with such atrocities start addressing this issue.

I also know how you feel too. In some country, rapist run around freely and woman who defend themselves from those monkeys go to jail instead! In some counties, instead of "innocent until proven guilty", it is "guilty until proven innocent"!

Shame on them

This is such a shame, that in this day and age such an act is allowed to go on. I think this sort of behaviour should be highlighted in the media more often!!!!!

there are alot of raping going on in prison. i hate the thought of being a victum. the government should step in and do something about it. not just for women but for men to. they also get rape in prison, even children who are sent to jail are raped. it is not just the other people in the jail but the guards also.
there are also cases i have heard that people being raped in mental hospitals being raped. not just by guards but by the doctors also. someone has to do something about this or it will just keep on going.

The media has done its part and thats why we hear of such atrocities. I think the authorities need to do more.
