I am doing a personal reflection on "place" for one of my common units at Uni.
I was wondering what your perspective of place is? and what do you think contributes to you understanding of and sense of "place"?
For me “place” means an area or part of a space that I am able to associate and identify with, through memory, names, ideas, or images. It is a physical space or area that has value to people, whether for living in, visiting, viewing, storing things or for many other uses. No one place has an identical meaning for me or other people.

Place, to me is more of a spiritual thing, the place in which we fell most physically comfortable relates to our state of mind in realtion to that space. the best way i can describe it is if a "place" was something tangible i would be able to wrap my self into it as if it was a big warm blanket. it is for me almost a spiritual state of saftey that i feel in a certain physical space. different spaces evoke different emotional responses but we as individuals all seek different emotional responses and find physical spaces to relate to.
