rating problems for video gaming

They say they rate each game with a sign.
C=early child hood
E=everyone
T=Teen
M=mature
A=age 20+
Nobody ever care about the rating when they play?Don't they care?I think the children should be supervised by their parents when they play older rating games.
Suggestions?

to be honest, i think people notice that the ratings are there, but as far as them really caring that they're there, I think not. Parents don't really care nowadays, so children really just play anything they want. I think the rating system nowadays, is really useless/unhelpful.

At first I am worried if I buy a Mature game,the shop won't sell you any.
Or maybe someone will call the police...
Weird...

You can't stop a kid from buying a M rated game. They're going to get it one way or another.

Some shops don't sell M rated games to anyone under 18 (or 17) unless you have someone over that age. Usually, store owners don't care. Depending on what kind M rated game a person is playing (like GTA) can really mess them up in the mind.
