Is Politics A Personal Business To African Leaders?

I dont expect any one to wonder about this topic rather to be curious towards the truth. Many African leader(at top presidents and ministers)largely use their positions to grab wealth instead of concentrating with planning to earn and use funds for the solutions of Major issue especially;poverty, diseases(AIDS&MALARIA),unemployment
This has put most of South-Sahara African countries to be in top list of corrupt. It a is now and then song in East Africa Among the ministers that they misuse government's fund.
While many Africa indgenious people are lamanting for social services, poverty, hunger Our leaders are enjoying life luxuriously that elerts even donors.Though no actions taken upon them. For example in Tanzania we are singing and praising the Late Baba wa Taifa J.K.Nyerere but few of his advocacy have been put into action. The reason is that He put foward poeple's(majority)interest which is contrary to their interests now. This is not to Tanzania only but also other countries especial those who are relactant to fix the time tenure of the office.
Hoping that are many youth that have experienced this in their countries to highlight the issue

The Euro and the Dollar are fighting over who makes it to the top while African Leaders strive earnestly to keep our continent on the top list of corrupt nations. They embezzle public funds and expect the masses to struggle for funds. I'm not a prophet or anything but the time is soon come, I believe when every corrupt leader will be brought to judgement before the great sons and daughters of Africa. If diseases and death doesn't claim their lives like Eyadema, Mobutu Sese seko and Idi Amin, Shame will follow them to their places of refuge (like Charles Taylor) or proper banishment from this great continent of ours.
God bless Africa

Ms.Polola you are lucky that in soviet, corruption is on the door-way out.But in Africa things seem to be different.A good example in Tanzania The people in power are just changing the way of giving and taking. We have gone far by baptising it another name hence blessed,Tanzania has legalised through another name of TAKRIMA.And this will boost leaders into power, how can these then fight corruption
So this is my doubt on the War of coruption

Take Kenya for example. Most leaders get into power with very little or no wealth at all. When they are there, all they do is increase their salaries and grab all they can so that if they are not re elected, they are already rich. We should be voting in honest leaders. How do we then know that the leaders are honest?

This is not a situation prevailing only in Africa but also in South Asia. But i think if one looks at SrI Lanka what has been worse than the apparent hoarding of wealth is now teh instigation of civil disobeyance by several factions of teh ruling coalition for political gain or milage.
In which instances one is forced to say that corruption is teh lesser of teh two evils!
