RE: WOMAN IS SIMPLY A MAN WITH A WOMB

A woman is simply a man with a womb. So why should a man see a woman as a subject of sex or as an instrument to be used and abandoned until it's service is required?
There is need for understanding here. A woman is as strong as a man. Neither of them is a weak vessel. They are both strong, and their strenghts is meant to complement each other. Not to for competition.
The great mistake of the past is a man underrating and misusing women. And the greattest tragedy of the future will be a Man competing with a Woman.
It's like a Hand competing with Leg. Can you see how foolish it is? it is Only a Foolish Man that will disregard the importance of a woman. It is also a Foolish Woman that will say that Men are nothing.
Our Women too need reorientation. They need to forget wilderness mentality - Inferiority complex. This manifests in a lot of ways (though not all women) like prostitution and wild dressing code. How could a woman, who knows who she is sell her own precious body for money?
Women deserve every right that a man enjoys. But the problem is that, some women want to have their right while they don't even know what their right is.
This struggle for women right have to be inside-out issue. Every woman need to know WHY she is a Woman. Her Purpose in her Family, Community, Country and the world at large. How to filfill this purpose.
Most of all, every woman need to believe in herself.

While I appreciate the sentiment regarding women's rights, using men as a starting place to describe women isn't a huge help. It still leaves people with the impression that man is primary (or was somehow created first) and that woman is derivative.
You could as easily (and illogically) say that a man is simply a woman with testes.
Like most creatures that reproduce sexually, the sexes have evolved distinct biological and social characteristics that are sometimes complementary, sometimes conflictual that have the net effect of enabling the next generation to be produced and to survive to maturity as well.

DeHeart, please don't misunderstand me. What i meant by saying "woman is simply a man with a womb..." is that a woman is not different from a man. she is being called woman because she has a 'womb'. i don't mean to underrate women. I love them with a passion. Because they are my sister, mother and associates.

I wouldn’t describe a woman as “ a man with a womb”. Why do we need to define women in the first place? I mean no one is trying to define men.
A big part of men still consider women somehow inferior and I think education is the best way to make men more aware of their equals, women and also to make women more aware of their rights and what they can do.
Best wishes.

I was amused the first time I read the title above, but after that came a deep thought that brought me very close to reasoning along with Nigeriadream. Anyway, I can say that the difference between a man and a woman is not only in the womb, but in their biology. Nay, it is in their assigned roles by their creator, God. But the difference in man and woman should not be the issue as they are made for each other so as to serve the purpose of their creator.
The question is: what is the purpose of God in creating man and woman? It is for them to fill the earth and subdue it and live as happily as they can desire for themselves, and to later join him their creator in the never ending happiness of heaven.
The abuse of women's right by men or even women themselves is a breakdown of the rules of the creator that seeks happiness for all through love.
Besides Christianity as a religion, most other religions and cultures have erected iron curtains that promote inequalities between man and woman. The end of these inequalities are not in sight as they have permeated the hearts of those who practise them and are teaching same fast to the younger generations.
But I believe it will someday stop. If all of us can go to the springboard of life, the creator of all things, and heed his words. I tell you, not only will women's rights be restored, but the rights of all oppressed people of the world will be restored by their human oppressors.
In celebrating the joy of womanhood with women all over the universe I publish below with some modification a poem I did to my wife not long ago.
MY WIFE DRAWN AMONG WOMEN
Beyond dream, beyond imagination
Not in the wonderland
But in reality you live with me.
I hear your voice
I see you live
I feel you in essence, and the
Smell of your body is all over me.
Truly you share your life with me!
Time and comfort you sacrifice
To keep me company and happy
I am all over you, and
You don’t complain.
As if all these are not enough
You bear my seeds:
First Ekene, then Ugo
And you keep matching forth.
You’re powerful in the body
Powerful in the spirit
Rich in understanding, and
Adequate in intellect.
Unassuming love
Unshakeable faith
Unalloyed loyalty are
All hallmarks of your being.
Your name Mary
Brings you virtue
Just as Binyelum confirms
What you’re to me.
You remain the Lord’s
Favour to me, and
I’ll keep you in my sight
Today and always.
