we had lots of those , extremely baaad proffessors, ugly, naughty ones, they are Zillions ,no, we don like to mention them here, we want to talk about the best, the really really IDEAL PROFFESSORS ,

i havent come across a great prof as yet..but the closest that came to that would have to be my accounting professor...he teaches at a good speed...explains himself...gives us time to ask questions and prepares us well for the exams by giving us a whole lot of review! Those are of course some standards we judge our professor on almost subconsciously...

interesting question!!

i think that a professor must first of all be competent, it means that he has to know what is he teaching!!
he must say 'I don't know' when somone ask him sthing he doesn't know, it's better than aswering with a wrong answer!

Ideal Proffessors

what do you think of those..
who are tottally limited with the content of a silly textbook, all his knowledge is just what the book says!
imagine, now we have a problem called "Smart Classes",
where proffs, don write any thing on the board available !
the spirit of disscussion is not there, the whole lecture is just boring.. I confess, that it happens that i can't stand more, I just put my head on the wall, and .. zzZZZzz..
how can such lectures make out some interest..
it's only those deeply profoundly knowledgable proffessors who can build interests in our personalities

Some of the best profs I had were the ones who are passionate about their subjects. They love what they are doing and they don't view teaching as a job but moreso an opportunity for others to learn about their passion.

In my opinion, who will be respected as a good teacher should be a guider leading students to climb knowledge mountain eagerly rather than simply repeating those existent knowledge. The most important tasts for a teacher should be to stimulate students' interest in exploring needed knowledge themselves and to suggest different methods to reach a certain target. At last which way a student will choose and the amount of knowledge a student gained are all the student's own business.Actually those two things are what a teacher can offer to his or her students.

I have my ideal professor. My biology teacher. She's great. I love the way she teaches. Moreover, she keep on studying, so as to "update" some things. What's more, she knows how to treat adolescents. I have a really good rapport with her.
