it's really difficult to choose which one affected me most, this year was full of sad events, i should think it was Beslan hostage taking, however i'm pretty sure which one affected me least: pro-hunt campaigners in UK, that was really daft!
and yourself?

Oh, looks like I forgot to make my comments on which affected me most/least! I guess what affected me most directly was the US Election. I've hardly been that depressed in all my life! One that wasn't on there yet was the Asia tsunami. I put that right up there with 9/11 as far as pure emotional/spiritual impact. The holocaust in Sudan hit me hard too. Some of the events on that show maybe should have affected me more but didn't because I either wasn't paying attention or just didn't feel a personal connection like the thing in the UK House of Commons.

What affected me was the US elections though i have nothing to do about the vote but it'll have a great impact in my region in the next couple of years.
The great changes in our government which, hopefully, will solve our economical problems (im keeping my fingers crrossed!)
Arafat's death is putting the counrty in a fix lets hope that everything will work out.
Tsunami is a catastrophe,God bless them all.
Was Abu Gherib's scandel in 2004 or 2003? well Abu Ghereb.
The Olymics that was smth interesting & cheerful for a change.
Least was the UK campaigns.

The tsunami, by far, has affected me the most. Following that, at least in terms of the amount of time that I spent reading news and talking about it: the US and the Ukranian elections. I was very concerned with the US elections at the beginning of the year, while a student at Berkeley (US). When I was studying in Sweden (later half of the year) it was constantly the topic of discussion. At the end of the year (now) I look back at it as a tiny event in history, which - if NGO's are able to stop Bush's most radical ideas/plans- should hopefully not be a big deal.

It's hard to say which event of 2004 has been worst.
I too think the tsunami is dreadful - but should perhaps be considered part of 2005 as it's this year that the people who have been effected will be able to come to terms with it.
Bush getting a second term is not a good thing for the world.
The thing in the House of Commons is very funny - it's all the upper-classes moaning that they may lose the right to take part in barbaric sports. The best thing about when they invaded the chamber was that they interupted one of the speakers who was defending the sport!!!
All the best for 2005 everyone.
Make Poverty History - wear a white band.

well I think guys that electing the cow boy to rule the world once again is the worst event this past year. it's somthin that affected,is affecting and will affect the world .all of it. although Tsunami was awefull, and millions were and still hurted because of it, we can't deny that it doesn't reach every where. while what gw bosh is doing is affecting us all wherever we are.
