Blood Donation is important...

I recently donated blood for the first time in my life. (I felt very good that I gave blood. I hope that my contribution helps someone somewhere.) I learned that my state alone needs about 2,000 pints of blood each day and that there are only about 1 or 2 days of extra blood in reserve! These facts started me thinking about why I have not donated in the past.
If you have NOT donated blood, why not? (One thing I did not like about the process was answering all of the very personal questions in the screening before I donated. I knew that my answers would end up in some database somewhere - I hope it is secure.)
If you do give blood, can you explain to others why you do, and how it feels for you?
PS How do medical personnel in less developed countries secure needed blood supplies?

Q: If you do give blood, can you explain to others why you do, and how it feels for you?
Hello. Yes, I do donate blood in a foreign country. I am a student in Saginaw Valley State Uni. The school have frequent blood donation drive, and I am always more willing to donate my blood to them. Sometimes, the nurses might say that I am underweight or something but I still talk my way in to donate my blood. I love practising charity, ^^ I am a very charitable person from giving money, used materials to blood. I do feel go donating blood in order to save a life. The reason that always encouraged me to donate blood is the lack of blood supply that drives myself to give my blood to the campaign.
