Troops Question Rumsfeld

I saw this on tv this morning and was pretty surprised that soldiers in uniform were allowed to openly question the administration! Rumsfeld's reponse sounds weak in print but positively insipid on camera. What a jerk.

Brian,
I would expect nothing less of Rumsfeld and the only thing I am sorry about, is that our troops deserve better than they are receiving.

No, but I'm not surprised one whit. I once saw McCain on a panel with Bush and he reamed, I mean *really* reamed, Bush for his military record.

I am not suprised at all about McCain. I respect McCain and am trying to find out more about him as there is talk of him being a canidate in 2008. I think action does need to be taken concerning Rumsfeld and I completely agree with California Rep. Nancy Pelosi who is the Dem. leader in the House of Reps. She was quoted as saying, "The Iraq war began 21 months ago and Secretary Rumsfeld has still not done what is necessary, which is his highest duty, to protect our troops to the greatest degree possible. No CEO in America would retain a manager with so clear a record of failure and neither should President Bush."
Nothing else to say on that, she has a point and no one can disagree with the fact that he is clearly not doing his job; just ask any soldiers family.
